I've had 12+ years of experience designing products in CAD software. I enjoy the process of not only designing something, but designing a product that exceeds the expectations of the end user. I take the time to incorporate well thought out features to give a "Wow" element to each thing I design.
Anytime I design a product, it is done from the perspective of someone who is also responsible for making the product as well, so my ability to avoid translation problems between design and fabrication is very honed. It's one of the greatest joys of my life to imagine something, and then see it physically built in front of me in a matter of hours.
I don't just create products to churn them out, even though I can work at blazing speeds. Each design is carefully considered for the goal of producing something that changes the way end users think of the products in the first place. I like to think that I'm not just designing a product, but I'm shaping a culture. I always want to push the boundaries of what the status quo is and be the product designer who sets the tone for what "the best in the business" really is. They say, "imitation is the highest form of flattery," and if that's the case, all my competitors have been flattering me since day one, and they have attempted to copy my every move.
For the last decade, I've mostly designed products associated with the world of Cornhole games and point of sale displays, and you might be chuckling to yourself thinking of the simplicity of cornhole, and you'd be right to do so. Even with its simplicity, I took the culture to a new level, and I have a patent on a high end cornhole board design called "The X Factor," essentially making the strongest, sturdiest wooden cornhole boards one could dream of (and I would also add they are the sexiest too). I have been using Adobe products since before many of them were even Adobe products. I have almost two decades of experience working with Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, Dreamweaver, Lightroom, After Effects, and the predecessors that came before them. Not only have I used these applications, but I've been Adobe certified in Photoshop in the past, and I've used it not only for graphics, but I've used it for web development, print application, and even 3D work from time to time. I'm versed well enough in the Creative Suite, that I've head the privilege of teaching individuals who teach the creative suite.
I have had the privilege of creating the graphic concepts for many brands in the past, including logos, branding guides, print application, and identity. It's not only been important to me that my work looks aesthetically pleasing, but I also take pride in the sense that the branding is coherent, functional, and communicates what it needs to say to the audiences the brands will encounter.
Even though graphic design and branding is one of my strongest skills, it's always acted as an auxiliary tool in my metaphorical tool belt. I have done graphic design as my full-time job in the past, but I was so proficient in other crucial roles too that my job duties became far more than graphics work.
Can I create a creative masterpiece if I need to? Certainly. Can I churn out graphics as a means of production to get as much done as I can? Absolutely. Can I make those two things meet in the middle? No doubt about it. However I've needed to set the design thermostat, I've been able to create exactly what I've needed and when I've needed it.
Not only can I make the stuff that stands still, I can make the stuff that moves too! I've enjoyed video work for many years, and 16 years to be exact, including hobby videography filming nature shorts, product reviews, instructional and informational videos, hype videos, music videos, product features, interviews, and much more.
I can film, yes, but editing is also a strong point for me. To me, it's not just about getting the right shot, but it's also about making the right shot say the right thing on the screen, whether I'm promoting a product, interviewing someone, giving instructions, or just making something beautiful.
Not only can I make videos, I'm also pretty good on camera, if I say so myself. Over the years of making videos, I've had to be very efficient with my ability to produce high quality content in a pinch, so I've gotten quite proficient in making one take wonders.
I have made music as a personal hobby for so long I've lost "track" at this point. I'm extremely well versed in using Logic Pro X to produce anything from cinematic masterpieces to corporate tracks for commercials.
Anytime our company has needed audio for any application, it has always been at our disposal for me to make the audio myself to avoid royalties, licenses, and other costs involved in the ever growing world of music license dilemmas. I'm so proficient at music production, that it's never taken me more than a few moments to create exactly what we need on the spot.
