I don't just think outside the box, I reinvent it.
I don't just think outside the box, I reinvent it.
I don't just think outside the box, I reinvent it.
My name is Ben Horton. I was born and raised in the great state of Georgia, and I spent my college years living in North Carolina before returning to my home state. I am happily, no, ecstatically married to my beautiful wife, Andrea, and I have two young boys: Emerson (9) and Wylder (7). My hobbies include a fairly long list of things including camping, backpacking, spelunking, watchmaking and repair (really anything related to wristwatches), writing and producing music, woodworking, and reading. I've had the privilege of traveling to many places in the world, but my favorite has to be the Sierra Nevada mountains. I think I share a similar view of the Range of Light that John Muir once felt as he explored Yosemite and the surrounding areas.
As a result of all the various hobbies I have, I have done a lot of different things throughout my life. I've built many pieces of furniture and guitars, I've written and produced hundreds of songs, composed hundreds of poems, and built many watches. I've had the joy of holding places of leadership in many different places throughout my life; in the businesses I've been a part of, my church, my community, and the schools I've attended.
On many occasions, I've had friends ask me, "Ben, how do you do all the things you do?" Honestly, it comes down to how I view the priorities in my life and how I view my time. I don't watch TV and I don't doom scroll on my phone, but I do spend my time trying new things, honing my skills, and enjoying every bit of it along the way.
I'm very involved in my church, Highview in Villa Rica, Georgia, and the core fundamentals of my faith have shaped the ways I aspire to lead with integrity, honesty, and motivation.
I'm madly creative, but beyond just being creative in nature, I'm driven to creatively produce as much as I can. This has permeated into every facet of my life, including the ways I build relationships, design products, sell products, think through manufacturing processes, create software, and more.
Overall, I consider myself to be a hard worker (having an above and beyond work ethic), a smart worker (being as efficient as possible with what is in front of me), and a creative worker (seeing the possibilities of what could be and taking the necessary steps to get there). Putting all of those things together, I feel unstoppable.
Not only do I think we might could benefit from being in a working relationship if we are the right fit for each other, but I also think it would just be nice to meet each other. If you like what you see on my website, shoot me a message on the contact page, and let's chat!
